The Porsche 911 GT3 that the German brand has introduced 991 in this generation has had much controversy ..ignition coil pack. and has not been for less. The major problems have been around fires in one way or another by the German boxer engine, ended toll.
So much so, that at the time delays and I confirmed in developing the 911 GT3 RS, which might have debuted with this spring but that for these reasons, the debut is postponed at least until next fall. Today all this adds up to an important clause, by which already rumblings that bring the idea of a turbocharged 911 GT3 RS. You know what I mean?
But wait, would not thus a GT2?
The main difference that has always distinguished clearly the range of GT3 and GT2, has been the use of an atmospheric and a turbocharged engine block,Z4 Control arms respectively. Marking clearly and concisely distances in the market, and maximizing the same sectors in which each is intended. The GT3 has always been atmospheric and this has created a reputation, an image around the purists ... difficult to change. With the idea of a 911 GT3 RS turbo, the situation changes completely.
Maybe the guys from Stuttgart only want to install multiple turbochargers in the GT3 RS version, keeping the standard atmospheric model. If so, it would be interesting comparisons with the GT2 ... depending of course on the final power.
